Steps to Embrace Islam: A Simple Guide

Becoming Muslim is very straightforward, all you have to do is:

Believing in your heart that there is Only One True God. He is The Creator of everything, The Bestower of all Blessings and Bounties, He alone deserves our gratitude and worship. He does not resemble to any of His creation, He doesn’t have family, son, daughter, or wife.
Recognizing Prophet Mohammad as His last and final messenger to all mankind in a long chain of prophets and messengers*. (See Prophet Mohammad).

You can become a Muslim NOW by having this believe in your heart and affirming it by making the following testimony of faith:

I bear witness that there’s no deity worthy of worship except Allah (The Only True God) and I bear witness that Muhammad is his final messenger.

It should be said In Arabic as well:

“Ash-hadu an la ilaha illa Allah wa ash-hadu anna Muhammad rasulu Allah”

Why It is important?

• Because it’s the first step to becoming a Muslim, whoever intends to become a Muslim must make such a declaration of faith and believe in it.

• Because it is the first step towards paradise. The Prophet said, “Whoever dies knowing full well that there is no god but Allah will enter Paradise.”

• Because whoever says it, sincerely believing in it and seeking thereby Allah’s pleasure, will be saved from Hellfire, as the Prophet said, “Allah has forbidden for the hellfire anyone who says, ‘There is no one worthy of worship except Allah,’ seeking thereby Allah’s pleasure.”
